Hebrews 13:20-25
Pastor Darren preached this sermon November 11, 2018 at Hebron Church. This year we have been working our way through the book of Hebrews; a book that was written to encourage early Christians not to return to the Jewish faith in the face of persecution because the Christian faith is better in every way. Hebrews teaches that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Jewish faith because His death was the final sacrifice for sin. After his death, the Old Testament sacrifices were no longer needed because His sacrifice was the only complete sacrifice. In today’s message, the final message of this sermon series, we hear the concluding statements of the author. Hebrews ends with a glorious distinction of the Christian faith from all others. It ends not with a command but a blessing that our survival and our flourishing is grounded in the character and the promises of God, and not on our own ability.
