Welcome to the Lent. Lent is the 40 days before Easter (not including the six Sundays that are considered mini-Easters). During Lent the church takes time to reflect on what it means to be saved by God’s grace and how that changes the way we live.
We continue our faith practice of Engaging Scripture. This practice immerses us in the true story of God’s faithful love so that we become more like Jesus as we grow in recognizing God, ourselves, and the world around us.
One way to go deeper into scripture is to read the same passage in different translations. Each morning this week you are invited to focus on a different passage in John. Each day has a different prompt to get you thinking differently about the passage.
On Sunday the scripture is taken from after Jesus’ resurrection, reminding us that Jesus has indeed risen and conquered death.
